About Us
Nigerian Student Association at UC San Diego
The Nigerian Student Association (NSA) at UC San Diego was founded in 2022 by a passionate group of Nigerian students determined to create a home away from home. Navigating college life far from Nigeria can be challenging, especially when searching for a space to celebrate, embrace, and share our vibrant culture. NSA was born out of the need to build a thriving, supportive, and energetic community where Nigerian students can connect, grow, and proudly express their identities. More than just a student organization, we are a family, a movement, and a celebration of everything that makes Nigerian culture extraordinary.

Our Story
Since gaining official recognition, the Nigerian Student Association (NSA) at UC San Diego has experienced incredible growth. We've hosted over 25 General Body Meetings, organized more than 10 dynamic events, and brought the community together through two unforgettable culture shows. Each gathering celebrates unity and pride, serving as a vibrant platform to share the richness of Nigerian culture with both the campus and the greater San Diego community.
Vision
To create a world where our diversity as Nigerians and Africans is celebrated and recognized across all schools in California, and in the future, throughout the United States.
Mission
Continue the mission of uniting students of all backgrounds on issues pertaining to the unique shared-life experiences of being Nigerian, Nigerian-American, African, and an
immigrant.
